Bareilly: Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized Rahul Gandhi during an election rally, suggesting that the Congress party would suffer significant losses in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Shah accused Rahul of initiating the party’s campaign with the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which he predicted would conclude with a ‘Congress Dhoondho Yatra’ on counting day, insinuating a search for the party’s relevance.

Addressing the crowd, Shah alleged that Rahul Gandhi, along with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Akhilesh Yadav, avoided attending the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, fearing a backlash from their voter base.

Shah emphasized the significance of this election in combating terrorism and Naxalism while positioning India as a global economic force.

He criticized the Samajwadi Party for promoting dynastic politics, highlighting how Akhilesh Yadav had nominated multiple family members as candidates in the current election.

Shah credited the BJP for completing the construction of the Ram Temple, a task he claimed was hindered by the Congress for 70 years. He accused opposition leaders of shunning the consecration ceremony due to political calculations.

Discussing Article 370’s revocation in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah highlighted Congress’s disconnect with national security concerns.

He praised the Modi government’s efficient Covid vaccination campaign and credited Yogi Adityanath for curbing communal riots and improving law and order in Uttar Pradesh.

Shah asserted that under the Samajwadi Party’s rule, Uttar Pradesh was plagued by communal tensions, contrasting it with Yogi Adityanath’s tenure.

He ridiculed the internal divisions within the opposition’s INDIA bloc, questioning their commitment to the welfare of the poor.

The rally concluded with Shah urging voters in Bareilly to participate in the upcoming elections, slated for the third phase on May 7th.
